Teaching

Ms. Boeschen is a gifted teacher and teaches private voice lessons to students of all ages and backgrounds. She works with students to develop healthy and strong vocal technique, build music theory skills, prepare for auditions, and work towards any other goals they might have. She is comfortable teaching a variety of vocal styles.

Lessons are tailored to what each student needs and wants to address, and Ms. Boeschen uses a number of exercises and practice techniques to help students understand their voices better and improve areas of focus.

Ms. Boeschen has extensive experience with youth music programming. She was a faculty member and co-director of the opera cohort with the Drake University Vocal Intensive (DUVI) in 2024 after interning with DUVI in 2023 as the cohort’s Assistant Director, vocal coach, and stage manager.

Direction

Ms. Boeschen is also gifted director. Ms. Boeschen’s own experiences as a performer provide her with a unique perspective in this role, and performers who have worked with her have praised her for her creativity, wit, continuity, and attention to detail.

Recent Assistant Director credits include Davies’ Little Red’s Most Unusual Day with Boston Conservatory at Berklee under Daniel Pelzig (2025), Hoiby’s Summer and Smoke with Boston Conservatory at Berklee under David Gately (2024), and Strauss’ Die Fledermaus with Drake Opera Theater under Isaiah Feken and Christine Blanner (2024). Ms. Boeschen was also the choreographer for the aforementioned Die Fledermaus and for Hansel and Gretel (2023), also with the Drake Opera Theater. Ms. Boeschen has also been a featured director for opera scenes concerts with Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Drake University.
